The ABS light means the anti-lock braking system has detected a fault, commonly in a wheel-speed sensor, the ABS module, or its wiring. Your standard brakes still work, but anti-lock protection during hard or slippery stops is disabled. Because that safety feature is offline, the system should be scanned and diagnosed promptly.
