Our policy is not to install customer-supplied parts. This policy ensures part quality, compatibility, and warranty coverage. Our shop guarantee covers parts purchased through us. Using outside parts risks voiding warranties and increases our liability—think of it like bringing food to a restaurant and asking the chef to cook it.

The main reason we decline customer-supplied parts is to uphold our legal warranty obligations and avoid liability. Since we do not know the source or quality standards of the part, using it could put us in violation of the Michigan Motor Vehicle Service and Repair Act (MVSRA), which requires us to disclose the part’s status and comply with implied warranties of merchantability.
