Replacement parts used at Hoover Street Auto Repair are either original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts or high-quality aftermarket parts backed by a manufacturer’s warranty. Some aftermarket parts are superior to the OEM parts, and we always recommend the parts that offer the best value and reliability.
There are many low-cost parts on the market that have poor quality control or do not meet American safety standards, and many of these parts have no guarantee. From experience, we have found that these discount parts often do not fit correctly, may be defective right out of the box, or fail soon after installation, and we receive no support from the manufacturer. In those cases, we must replace them at our own cost. Some offshore-manufactured parts are even counterfeit and can cause serious damage to your vehicle and increase safety risk.
If requested, we can provide photos or video of your old parts, or make the replaced parts available for you to inspect. Please note that many replaced parts must be returned for re-manufacturing and may carry a core charge if they are not returned.
