Low coolant with no visible puddle can still indicate a coolant leak. Coolant may be escaping from a coolant hose, radiator cap, water pump, thermostat housing, heater core, head gasket, or an internal engine coolant leak. Slow, small coolant leaks will eventually evaporate, but will leave a colored residue where the coolant collects. Small leaks can often be found with black-light leak dye. Hoover Street Auto Repair can pressure-test the cooling system to find the source of the smallest leak.
