Owner/Manager
Brian Hogue, Owner at Hoover Street Auto Repair in Ann Arbor, MI
  • Moved business to Hoover Street Auto in 2002
  • Started Auto Repair in Ann Arbor in 1980
  • 22 years Shell Service Station owner/operator
  • US Air Force service

Other than the four years I was in the Air Force, I’ve been an Ann Arbor / Saline resident since 1971. I had visions of owning my own business back in my high school years. One year following my Air Force tour, I reached my high school dream of business owner as a lease/operator of a Shell Service Station on the eastside of Ann Arbor. After 22 years at the Shell Station, in 2002, I bought the current building on E. Hoover and moved my business there to focus on auto repair in Ann Arbor without the gas business. During my free time I enjoy golf, tennis, water and snow skiing. I’m a beginner in ballroom dancing and love to sing… not to be confused with a “talent to sing”… however, I do great job with background vocals for familiar songs on the radio. I have two daughters that are married and still living in the area. No grand babies… but, both girls each have two dogs… that sort of counts… doesn’t it?

Mike Kennedy, Hoover Street Auto Repair in Ann Arbor MI
  • Started at Hoover in 2009
  • Working as a Service Advisor since 2001

I grew up in Clinton and have been working in Ann Arbor as an automotive service consultant/advisor since 2001. I joined Hoover Street Auto Repair in 2009.

During my career I’ve been through an extensive list of corporate training classes. Those classes have covered everything from administration to people skills and from automotive maintenance needs to computer software systems. I also have a lot of expertise in automotive tires. Let me know if you have any tire questions, or any other auto related questions, I’ll be happy to help.

My free time is filled trying to keep up with the activities of my three boys. 2010 brought the addition of a beautiful baby girl into my family whose glowing smiles and big blue eyes can render the strongest among us defenseless. My children have inspired me to become a “hobby” photographer so, be sure to ask to see pictures of my kids when you come in…. I have lots to show you.

  • - Front End & Steering

  • Auto Repair Technician since 1986

I grew up in the Pinckney area and continued live in the area in my “adult” phase of life.  I graduated from WCC Automotive program in 1986… However, my automotive education is a continual process in order to keep up with the ever changing automotive industry.   I joined the Hoover Street Auto Repair team in 2012 and I’m happy to be working with Johnny Musa again.  Johnny Musa & I worked together for a few years when Johnny first graduated from WCC and we always have made a good team.

Growing in the Pinckney area with so many lakes close by, I’ve always wanted to own a house on a lake.  I bought my first house in 1986 on Portage Lake and never thought about not being on a lake.  Now, two houses later and still on Portage Lake, I enjoy boating, bass fishing, snowmobiling and cruising the trails on my mountain bike.  I’ve also been, and still do, race modified stock cars on the Midwest short track circuit.  The last few years I’ve been racing in the Midwest Enduro Racing circuit.  Lots of fun for a lot less expense, we race smaller four cylinder front wheel drive cars on short ovals or short road course for 200 laps.  Starts out with80 to 120 cars, really, 80 – 120 cars, winning is as much about avoiding the other cars as it is going fast.  You have to see it to believe it.  Ask me about it, I would love to show some video clips.

My latest project is a cottage up north I recently purchased.  Great area with lots of trails for mountain biking & snowmobiling…. And a few good places for bass fishing as well.
